The Basics: Where am I? How did I get here? Why do I have no money? Why do all the zombies look like they just crawled out of the mud? These questions and more go unanswered in this new-ish map from the mind of Quizz. What you do need to know though is that this map is going to put you to the test with a zombie experience like you’ve never seen before. The traditional zombie rules are thrown out the window in favor of a completely custom and unique zombie killing experience…”so face forward, with arms wide open and mind reeling. Your future has arrived …are you ready to go?”
What We Like: When it comes to original content and breaking out of the normal zombie mold Quizz never disappoints. There is a seemingly endless list of unique features he has added to this map that you are just going to have to experience for yourself to truly understand what I mean. A few examples are a custom HUD, custom guns including 2 custom wonderweapons (the QZ-Laser and the Vaporizer-11), custom grenades, only getting points for kills which adds serious challenge to the map (get those headshots), custom perks, a custom point system and MORE! Also, the map looks great and you have the option to play either during the day or at night…and did I mention that this map is floating up in the freaking sky!?
What We Didn’t Like: There are no objectives and no buyable ending so that may disappoint some people as there is really nothing to work toward except to see how high of a round you can get to and then try to beat that high round the next time you play. Also, the map is really small with really no exploring to do. Apparently this map is a small section of a much larger map that Quizz was working on and he thought he’s release this just for fun.
Final Word: I love it when mappers break out and do something really unique with their maps and Quizz is just the guy to keep you on your toes; that and he probably couldn’t make something bland and boring even if he wanted to. Once again I have to give big props to him for another fun mapping experience; even though there may not be much to do past surviving it’s still a good time and should not be passed up.
