Story:
23rd September 1953. In an alternate reality WW2 is still ongoing. The allied and axis forces constantly try to develop new technology in an attempt to turn the tide of the war. Germany realised that the war was not in their favour and as a result set up PROJECT SOLITUDE. A final effort by Germany to create the ultimate weapon. Instead of creating the ultimate super soldier as they intended. They created an army of the undead. Follow the original 4 characters as they explore and survive in the aftermath of one of the research facilities that spearheaded the project.

Description and Developer Notes:
PROJECT SOLITUDE is a basic zombie survival map that is medium sized that is based during an alternate reality where WW2 is still ongoing. It took me around 2 years to complete in total with over 600 hours spent in the modtools. I primarilly focused on creating a atmospheric map by using lighting to my advantage and telling a story using the environment instead of creating a massive Easter Egg.

I originally planned to add a lot more as the map was going to be much larger with more features. The map went through multiple redesign phases and i came to realise that my ambition was too great for my first map so i cut it down to realistic expectations. This means that there is no Easter egg and the only objective is to survive. There are quite a few areas to explore but some were ultimately cut in the end. Anyways all this aside i hope you enjoy the map. I look forward to creating the next one.

Performance Notes:
If you are experiencing performance issues please try the following:
-Reduce Ambient Occlusion Setting
-Set volumetric Lighting to Medium instead of high
-Reduce FOV
-Reduce Shadow Quality
-Reduce render resolution

If you are still experiencing performance issues then i reccomend completley disabling Volumetric Lighting as i make heavy use of it in this map. This will improve performance significantly.

I may release a patch to address performance in the future.
